Adhesion Strength≥ 1 Ν/mm2 according ΕΝ 12004 1 Ν/mm2 30 min open time 3.1 Ν/mm2 after 28 days 2.1 Ν/mm2 after water immersion 2.7 Ν/mm2 after heat ageing 2.5 Ν/mm2 after freeze/thaw cycles Slip 0.2 mm Deformability: 5.8mmTemperature when in use: -30ºC-+90ºC ApplicationWith the flat side of the trowel apply the adhesive to the substrate, pressing firmly to work into surface. Comb on additional adhesive with the notched side. Use the proper sized notched trowel to insure full bedding of the tile. The open time of ALFAKOL 15* is 30 minutes. Install the tiles within this period, in order to avoid skin formation. Place tiles into wet, sticky adhesive and beat in using a beating block and rubber mallet to imbed tiles and adjust level. If mortar is skinned over (not sticky), remove and replace with fresh mortar. Unfavourable climatic conditions (high temperature, low humidity, wind, etc) can reduce this time to just a few minutes. Substrates Preparation Substrates must be mechanically sound, free of loose particles, grease, oil or other materials that reduce the adhesion. Dampening of the substrate before application is recommended. The substrate must be stable without cracks and have already completed the curing period of hygrometric shrinkage. Uneven sections must be corrected with suitable smoothing and finishing product. Preparing the mix Gradually pour the material to a bucket of clean water mixing constantly with a low speed (400 rpm) electric mixer until a creamy consistency is achieved. Allow mixture settle for 5 minutes and remix prior the application. Attention! Additional water will make your mixture sloppy and may cause negative results on final strength.
