VECHRO SMALTOLUX HYDRO BLACKBOARD PAINT 750ML

High quality water based new generation velvet - flat acrylic water-based paint with low VOC.
Suitable designed paint for school boards. It provides a surface with excellent resistance to
scratching, frequent washing and scrubbing.

Erases cleanly.

It dries uniformly and quickly.

It has great brush ability and give a smooth flat surface.

It converts surfaces into a usable chalkboard under the proper preparation.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Texture Flat <5 degrees at 85º.

Specific weight 1,14 – 1,20kg/lt

Covering power 11 -13m2/lt per layer

Dilution Up to 10% on volume with water using brush
or roller and max 20% when using spray.

Drying 2-3 hours touch free.

Recoatability 6 hours after application or after first
layer’s hardening. These times prolong under cold and wet weather conditions.

VOC class “Interior/exterior trim and cladding paints for wood and metal” Type WB. VOC limit =130 gr/lt. Max VOC of product ready for
use= 85 gr/lt. The paint contains also solvents which are not considered as VOC.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Clean the surface of dust, oil, cropped paints, rust. Sandpaper well. On
new surfaces it is proposed one coat of SMALTOLUX hydro MASTER PRIMER.

APPLICATION
Stir well. Apply 1 or 2 coats of Smaltolux Hydro Blackboard.

TIPS FOR USE
7 days after painting and before writing, condition the surface by rubbing
the side of a piece of a white chalk over the entire surface and erase. This will leave a coat of chalk dust that will provide the best erasability.
Chalkboard can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Wait 10 days after painting
before wiping it down. For better result, repeat conditioning step after
cleaning once again. The chalkboard finish is ready for use!

CLEANING EQUIPMENT
While working keep your equipment wet, either in the pot, or in the paint
lauder. Strain well your tools from paint back to the pot and clean immediately with water and soap.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Temperature 8-30ºC and relative humidity lower than 80%. Contrary
weather conditions may degrade paint’s quality.

STORAGE
Store in a cool place, protect from freezing and sun exposure. Close the
can well after application to keep in good condition. Recover unused paint
for re-use. Reuse of paint can effectively minimize the product’s life cycle
environmental impact.
